Thought Fragment
When individuals speak, they believe that they are making original statements, presenting fresh ideas pertaining to given situations. In fact their presentation arise from given discursive fields or systems. Fields of pre-existing discourse provide the tools and raw materials/ resources to present the “original” ideas. Speakers do not invent these systems of discourse. They draw on the systems but are not in control of them
