Thought Fragment: Scripting

I use the term “scripting” to describe the dimension of communicative activity as an exercise in the (re)production of reality. Scripts are fragments of narratives from one or another or a combination of those overarching discursive sources at our disposal. They may be spoken, written, gestured, or otherwise rendered. The individual adopts and creatively employs these fragments to craft their own discursive realignment of the subjective with the conventional.
